BACK AGAIN è il nuovo EP di Smile in progress CRU uscito il 20 marzo 2026, il disco segna una nuova tappa per la crew riunitasi per il progetto a ben 20 anni di distanza dal loro disco “on the riddim” del 2006 appunto. La formazione del disco vede Riczla, Uillo ed Effedi impegnati nella creazione di queste nuove tracce ed un progetto che riprende da dove avevano lasciato, sull’onda delle good vibes con tracce che parlano di amicizia ma anche di guerra, di protesta, di complotti che guidano le menti tutto condito con sonorità reggae e rap ma non solo, temi e testi impegnativi a tratti introspettivi che creano il classico timbro della crew con alcune note sperimentali nuove introdotte dalle idee futuristiche di Uillo.
Smile in Progress CRU’s new EP, released on March 20, 2026, marks a new chapter for the crew,who reunited for the project 20 years after their 2006 album “On the Riddim.”The lineup for the album sees Riczla, Uillo, and Effedi working on these new tracks, picking up where they left off. It’s a project that builds on the good vibes, with tracks about friendship, war, protest, and conspiracies that guide minds. It’s all seasoned with reggae and rap sounds, but also with challenging, at times introspective, themes and lyrics that create the crew’s signature sound, with some new, experimental notes introduced by Uillo’s futuristic ideas.
Smile in progress CRU è stata fondata nel 2005 dall’incontro a “la cantina” – Imola di un paio di personaggi che fino ad allora avevano avuto esperienza in gruppi di genere e diverse formazioni tra reggae e rap, che in questa formazione, composta da Diana, Fumodenso mc, Uill’ob Riczla sarà basata sul ritmo dancehall reggae e sull’hip hop strumentale dei dischi di kecco dj.
Smile in progress CRU was founded in 2005 with the meeting “la cantina”- Imola of a couple of characters who until then, had had experience in gender groups and different training as reggae and rap, which in this formation, made up of Diana, Fumodenso mc, Uill’ob Riczla and will be based on dancehall reggae riddim and the instrumental hip hop driven by kecco dj.
