BIOGRAPHY:
Brother Culture, born Simon Fajemisin, is a British reggae MC from Brixton, London, known for his conscious lyrics and charismatic stage presence. Born to Nigerian and Irish parents, he’s been spreading positive messages through music since 1982, starting with Jah Revelation Muzik sound system.
He continues to spread positive messages through his music, blending roots reggae, dub, and dancehall styles, inspiring audiences worldwide.
Career Highlights:
– Early Beginnings: Took the stage in 1982, touring the USA, Jamaica, and Canada with Twelve Tribes of Israel Rasta brotherhood
– Dub Club Era: MCed at London’s legendary Dub Club in 1991, collaborating with UK dub/roots producers like Adrian Sherwood and Manasseh
– International Breakthrough: Collaborated with The Prodigy, Mungo’s Hi Fi, and Asian Dub Foundation, taking his music global
