due dub versions con tutte le sfumature della vita e dell’amore come tema centrale.
Un reggae rilassato che rispecchia il suo amore per la vecchia scuola, abbracciando al
contempo influenze moderne.
D. Presenta ai nostri lettori il suo quinto album Till Then…
R. Con il cuore gioioso ed emozionato presento Till Then, il mio quinto album in studio. È una raccolta di canzoni che sono tutte molto care al mio cuore e che escono direttamente dalla mia anima.
D. Qual è il tema principale dell’album?
R. Ho scritto di tutte le sfumature della vita e dell’amore. Perché l’amore è ciò che fa girare il mondo.
Di come sogniamo l’amore. Di come siamo in grado di dare e ricevere amore. Di come pensiamo che l’amore possa o non debba sentirsi. L’assenza di amore. Il dolore e la gioia. È la forza vitale da cui provengo. Direi che tutte le mie canzoni parlano d’amore.
D. In cosa si differenzia dal suo album precedente?
R. Beh, cerco sempre di evolvermi e di crescere più profondamente in me stesso e di crescere nel modo in cui mi esprimo attraverso la musica e i testi. In tutte le canzoni di TILL THEN sono molto personale. Cerco di aprire il più possibile il mio cuore e di condividere la luce che trovo dentro di me.
D. Come si può descrivere dal punto di vista delle melodie?
R. Il mio suono è molto melodico in generale. Abbiamo lavorato molto sulle armonie e mi sono divertito molto a registrare tutti questi strati per i cori.
Alcune di queste melodie nascono nella mia mente, le sento internamente e mi ritrovo a canticchiarle fino a raggiungere il pianoforte. A quel punto anche le parole si sono già formate da sole e io non faccio altro che mettere insieme il tutto.
D. Parlami degli altri artisti coinvolti nel progetto e di come sei entrato in contatto con loro…
R. Sono molto orgogliosa delle grandi collaborazioni di questo album. Randy Valentine mi ha contattato dopo aver ascoltato il mio album e siamo entrati in sintonia. Poiché sono un grande fan del suo lavoro, potete solo immaginare la mia eccitazione per il fatto che abbia voluto lavorare con me. Josh David e io siamo amici da molti anni. Abbiamo fatto una canzone insieme, credo circa 15 anni fa, e abbiamo sempre voluto rifarla e ora l’abbiamo fatta e adoro l’energia della nostra canzone. Quan Nelson è un artista che ho scoperto non molto tempo fa. Il colore della sua voce e il suo songwriting unico mi hanno stupito e sono onorato che si sia unito a me per una collaborazione.
D. Perché avete scelto di realizzare anche due versioni dub? Che cos’è il dub per te
R. Sono innamorata del dub. Mi piace l’idea che una canzone possa essere decostruita e ri-costruita, diventando così un’atmosfera nuova o diversa. L’originalità dei dub mi affascina.
D. Stai già lavorando a qualcosa di nuovo in studio?
R. Beh 🙂 Sono un autore di canzoni. È il mio modo di esprimermi e la musica è ciò di cui ho davvero bisogno. Mi mantiene sano di mente e in equilibrio. Sto sempre lavorando a qualcosa, ma non ho fretta.
Al momento sto sperimentando molto e mi piace molto il viaggio.

Q. Introduce to our readers your fifth album Till Then…
A. With a joyful heart and excited I am presenting with Till Then my 5th studio album. It’s a collection of songs that are all very dear to my heart and straight out of my soul.
Q. What’s the main theme of the album?
A. I’ve been writing about all shades of life and love. Because LOVE is, what makes the world go round.
How we dream love. About how we are able give and receive love. What we think love could or shouldn’t feel like. The absence of love. The hurt and joy. It’s the life force I came from. I’d say all my songs on are about love.
Q. In what is different from your previous album?
A. Well, I always try to evolve and grow deeper into myself and grow in the way I express through music and lyrics. In all songs on TILL THEN I am very personal. I am trying to open my heart a wide as possible and share from the light I find within.
Q. How can you describe it by the point of view of the melodies?
A. My sound is very melodic in general. We’ve been working a lot on harmonies and I had so much fun recording all this layers for the choirs.
Some of these melodies just rise in my mind and I kind of internally hear them and find myself humming till I reach my piano. My this time the words already formed themselves too and all I basically do is bring it all together.
Q. Tell me the other artists involved in the project and how yougot in contact with them…
A. I am so very proud of the great collabs in this album. Randy Valentine actually reached out to me after listening to my album before and like this we connected. As I am a huge fan of his work you can only imagine my excitement that he wanted to work with me. Josh David and I are actually friends since many years. We did a song together I think about 15 years ago and always wanted to do it again and now we did and I love the energy of our song. Quan Nelson is an artist I discovered not too long ago. The color of his voice and unique songwriting just amazed me and I am honored he joined me for a collab.
Q. Why did you choose to put also 2 dub versions? What is dub for you?
A. I am in love with dub. I like the whole idea that a song can be deconstructed and re constructed and like this become a new or different vibe. The originality of dubs are fascinating for me.
Q. Are you working already on something new in studio?
A. Well 🙂 I am a songwriter. That’s how I express and music is what I really need to do. It keeps me sane and in balance. I am always working on something but I am in no rush.
In the moment I am experimenting and lot and I very much enjoy the journey.
