This is the NEW RELEASE by Stork Tales Records, a collaboration by Wild Step at her First Production and Freddie Stork, meeting Dub Music, Sound System Music, e Rave Culture.
Wild Step is a self-built Sound System, born in Maremma (Tuscany, Italy) in 2019.
It's a female sound system where Jo is builder, operator, selecta and dj. She loves
musical contaminations, she was influenced by French labels (like ODG, MaréeBass)
and others (Ringe Raja Rec, Life4land, Amen4tekno). She pushes Electro Dub, Steppa
and others underground genres. Connecting worlds far apart, she is know for mixing
Dubtek.
So her crazy hard sets are a remedy against the monotony… music has no
barriers, no fencies, no limits.
She has partecipated in festival such as Dubstone (Calabria), Bass Forest (Alto-Adige),
Fantasia (Umbria), Bababoom (Marche), Crazy Dub (Campania) and she plans wild
parties in central Italy.
Woman powa inna sound system style!
The meeting with Freddie comes around that festivals named, and sharing music and
experiences they start to evolve this old project originally made by Jo.
In fact, "Involution" was born in the mind of Wild Step from his very first approaches to
music production, which he immediately considered as a significant way to convey
important messages. What at first was a militant urgency became a real trace only last
year, after the meeting with Freddie Stork. The two producers begin an intense
reworking on several versions, fearlessly mixing their legacies: the world of dub with that
of tekno.
She explain us: >> I understand that exclaiming "extinction is the only solution" is
catastrophic, but we live in the century in which the failure of the human being ceases to
manifest itself. With this track, I intend to criticize our paradoxical way of life, human
society, now so far from nature, which feels superior to all the other beings that populate
the planet and has the right to dispose of it as it wishes. But Mother Earth existed before
us and will exist after us and we beings so "superior to everything" will have represented
only a quarter of an hour of the evolutionary age of the planet. It's necessary to awaken
consciences from the torpor in which we feel so pampered. Everything is connected: we
cannot be well in a sick world. <<
The artwork by Filippo "Sacco" represents planet Earth devoured by leeches: a
metaphor for man's overexploitation of natural resources. The background recalls the
world of microorganisms, bacteria.
